Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

This policy explains what information jobexposure.ai collects, what we do with it and what your choices are. The site is run by Shoulder Season Labs LLC, 1500 N Grant St, Ste N, Denver, CO 80203, United States. Questions go to hello@jobexposure.ai.

The short version: reading the site is anonymous. We only learn who you are if you buy a plan, and then we keep your email address, what you bought and your progress on it. Even then, what you read on the site is not tied to you.

1. Reading the site: no account, no cookies, no tracking

You can read every exposure map and the free first step of every plan without telling us anything about yourself. Reading the site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or third-party analytics.

A visit does leave one kind of record, and it is not tied to you. When a page is shown, the site notes which job, level and industry were on screen and, when you click, which level or industry you picked, which part of the plan you opened or which link you followed. There is no identifier of any kind attached to these notes: no cookie, no account, no IP address, no device fingerprint. We use them only to see which parts of the site are read and used, so we can improve it.

This stays true after you buy. Signing in sets one cookie whose only purpose is to keep you signed in; it is not used to track you. The notes described above never carry your account or your email address. The most they record is that the reader was a buyer, and at which of our prices, so we can see whether buyers and free readers use the site differently and whether the price makes a difference to how the plan is used.

If you look up a job or a company in the search box, the words you type are used to find a match and are not stored.

If a page fails to load, the site keeps a note of which page broke and what went wrong so we can fix it. We use a service called Sentry for this. We have set it up so these notes carry nothing about you: no IP address, no location, no cookies, no account.

2. The plan page: what stays in your browser

Before you buy, the boxes you tick on a plan are saved only in your own browser, on your own device. They never reach us. If you clear your browser's storage, they are gone.

3. Buying a plan: what we collect and why

When you unlock a plan, the payment happens on a checkout page run by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and your billing information and is the seller of record for the purchase. We never see your card number. Stripe's privacy policy covers the payment itself, and you can manage your purchase in your Link account at link.com.

After the payment, Stripe tells us the email address you paid with, which plan you bought, the price you paid and when. We keep these because they are your account and your proof of purchase. We use your email address to deliver the plan, to send you sign-in links, to send the reminder and update emails described below, and to answer you if you write to us.

Once you have an account, the plan saves your progress: which steps you have marked as done and which boxes you have ticked. We keep this so your plan is the same on every device. We use it for nothing else.

Signing in uses a single cookie that keeps you signed in on that browser. It is removed after three months without a visit.

4. Emails

We send three kinds of email, all to the address you bought with.

Account emails: your purchase confirmation, your sign-in links and notices about your account. These keep coming as long as you have an account, because the account cannot work without them.

Reminder emails: if you chose a reminder when you bought, we email you when you have not made progress for the period you picked. They stop on their own after three in a row with no progress.

Update emails: when the plan for your job changes in a meaningful way, we tell you, at most once a month, for up to 12 months after your purchase.

Every reminder and update email has an unsubscribe link and our postal address. Clicking the link stops those emails within 10 business days at the latest; in practice it is immediate. You can also email hello@jobexposure.ai to stop them.

Our emails carry no tracking. We do not record whether you opened an email or which links in it you clicked. The links in a reminder or update email tell the site that a visit came from that kind of email, so we can see whether the emails are useful, but not who the visitor was.

5. Who else sees your information

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. The companies that help us run the site see only what they need to do their job:

Stripe, for payments, receipts, tax and refunds (Stripe is the seller of record).
Vercel, which hosts the site.
Supabase, which hosts our database, where your email address, purchase and progress are stored. Its servers for our project are in the United States.
Sentry, for the error notes described above.
Resend, which sends our emails on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your email address, your purchase record and your progress for as long as your plan is available to you. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete them within 30 days, except for the purchase record Stripe must keep for tax and accounting. The anonymous page notes and error notes are kept to improve the site and contain nothing that identifies you.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and the information with it. Write to hello@jobexposure.ai from the address you bought with and we will do it within 30 days. You can stop reminder and update emails with the unsubscribe link in any of them. If you ask Stripe to delete your payment data through Link, Stripe deletes it from its records and ours and tells us.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another place with its own privacy law, you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for keeping your email address, purchase and progress is that we need them to provide the plan you bought; for the reminder and update emails it is the choice you made at purchase, which you can withdraw at any time.

8. Where your information lives

We are in the United States and our service providers store information there. If you use the site from another country, your information is transferred to and handled in the United States.

9. Children

The site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has bought a plan, tell us and we will delete the account and refund the purchase.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect from people who already have an account, we tell them by email.
